We’ll start by exploring the Create Patient module, where you’ll learn how to set up a new patient profile and upload essential clinical records, including photographs and X-rays. You’ll gain confidence in editing these records and performing CBCT registration for comprehensive case analysis, ensuring every step is tailored to precision and accuracy.
In the Edit Module, we’ll guide you through cleaning and remeshing STL files, adjusting the bite, and perfecting the views for a precise digital workflow. You’ll also dive into advanced editing techniques, such as manually remeshing STL files, smoothing surfaces, adding or removing structures, and sculpting gingival areas to refine your models for treatment planning.
The Create Base section will teach you how to cut STL files to prepare them for base creation. You’ll explore how to customize and size different base options and add personalized labels to ensure professional-quality results.
Finally, we’ll delve into Segmentation, focusing on STL cleaning and remeshing specific to this module. You’ll learn to adjust bite and views for proper segmentation alignment and create the first cast, completing the segmentation process with confidence.

3D Aligner and File Exporting

This session dives deeper into the software’s key features, empowering you to streamline your digital orthodontic processes with precision and efficiency.
We’ll begin with the Aligner 3D Module, where you’ll learn how to manipulate crowns effectively using various movement options tailored to each case. You’ll also explore how to place attachments—whether individually or in multiples—and stage them strategically to enhance treatment outcomes. The course will cover the essentials of interproximal reduction (IPR), including when and how to perform it for optimal results. Additionally, we’ll simplify the concept of staging, providing an easy-to-follow method without unnecessary complexity. You’ll also master creating hinge movements and incorporating 3D objects, such as slits, cutouts, mirrored tooth stages, and more, to further customize aligner plans.
The training will then transition into the Export Module, equipping you with the tools to prepare cases for production seamlessly. You’ll learn to establish limitations, create and adjust fixation slots with various base types, and define precise cutting lines. We’ll also explore the automation of serial exports, simplifying the handling of multiple cases, and guide you through creating hollow models optimized for efficient production workflows.
Finally, we’ll wrap up with some bonus content to round out your training. You’ll learn how to configure the Onyx Web Viewer and understand the web hosting requirements for sharing cases online. We’ll also cover advanced features like the Easy Bite Jump tool and cephalometric analysis, enabling you to leverage OnyxCeph’s full capabilities.
